iRFP supports research at Mahidol University - First step towards further use in the Asia-Pacific region
by iRFP Administrator
In collaboration with Mahidol University in Thailand, one of the country's most prestigious academic institutions, iRFP is helping to integrate FBS into the university's research projects. This represents the first step in the further use of FBS in the Asia-Pacific region.
As part of the cooperation, we are supporting Mahidol University in investigating the further double-track expansion of Thailand's railroad lines. Particular attention is being paid to the Southern Line of the State Railways of Thailand (SRT), which runs from Bangkok to Salaya and Nakhon Pathom. The research work, which includes both virtual simulations and physical experiments in the university's railroad laboratory, is optimized by integrating FBS into the various software components of railroad operations. This innovative research is helping to improve the efficiency and safety of Thailand's railroad lines.
A special contribution was made by our lead developer Mr. Bräuer. With his many years of experience in vehicle control and driving dynamics, which he gained in European railroad laboratories and test facilities, he was able to provide valuable input for programming the driving dynamics within the project.
